What is better the blackberry storm or the iphone?

Im getting a new phone and like both of these devices. I have used both and like the Blackberry Storm a little better for email but the iphone is better for web browsing. Overall, does anyone have any input as to which phone is better. I heard that over the next 6 months or so the Storm is going to have massive updates and new apps to surpass the iphone. Anyone know anything about this let me know asap!!!

  1. To me, the Blackberry would be pretty close to equal against the iPhone but its lack of wi-fi is the killer for me.

    So overall I would say:

    Apple iPhone > Blackberry Storm

  2. I just got the Storm last week. and let me tell you, I love it. previously I had the Palm treo, I also was deciding between the iphone and the Storm. I opted for the Storm. if you are a heavy E-mail user then go with the storm. also the navigation part is awsome. i started to write a blog about my experience with this phone if you care to check it out.

  3. The storm failed. F-A-I-L-E-D. Some thought it would be the ‘perfect storm’, but merging touchscreen that depresses with the force of the blacberry did nothing but create the Epic Fail.

If you want a truly awesome touchscreen experience, then the iPhone or HTC Touch Pro is the way to go.

  4. I just got a Storm and love it. I have no idea WTF the post above me is talking about with the click touch screen being epic fail, I think it’s great. The keys illuminate before you click them so that you know which key you are about to activate, then you click it and it activates whatever key is highlighted under your finger. It takes some getting used to but is totally fine once you do. Fewer typing slip-ups than the non-reactive iphone.

Regarding the wi-fi gripe, I really don’t see this as an issue. The verizon 3G network is more than adequate, and also means that you can use the Storm as a modem for your laptop anywhere there is network coverage… something the iphone is not capable of, and something wi-fi can’t help you with (since it doesn’t exist in these remote areas to begin with). This is great if you have an occupation like mine where you are out in the middle of East Bumfrick, Nowheresville and you need internet service on your laptop. A godsend, actually.

The iphone is great, but I like the Storm just as much, if not better.

  5. I own both the I-Phone and the Storm. i love both of them. I love safari on the iphone. No phone beats that. i like the touch screen of the storm and its superb email. what i do not like about the iphone is the battery life and the tiresome effort it takes to convert movies and put it on itunes then sync it. What i do not like about the storm is it has so many bugs with it. it takes forever to load up and will freeze alot. I called verizon up about it and they are sending me a new one so we will see how that fares. as for the better phone…. No one does it like APPLE.
